Getting Dressed

Printable Learning Materials

Tips for Material Usage:

Many items on our site are intended for repeated use.  The suggestions below will help keep your materials fresh, fun, and safe for little hands.

1.Laminating ensures your materials will be durable.

  • First cut out the portions you would like to laminate. It is not necessary to cut around the exact outline of the pictures.  The materials often look better and are more durable if a slight white edging surrounds the pictures.  This also saves you time when cutting.
  • Laminate and cut off excess laminating film. Be sure to trim any sharp edges from the materials.

2.Our materials are so versatile and can be used in any way that suits the children you care for best. The possibilities are endless!  Here are just a few ideas to get you started once your materials have been laminated:

  • Add adhesive magnet or Velcro pieces to the backs of your materials for use on flannel and white boards.
  • Use a hole punch and a ring to keep sets of materials together or as a flip book to tell a story.
  • Our materials are perfect for use as pocket chart sets, file folder games, or for lapbooking projects.
  • Many of our materials are made for layering. For example, when using the dress up set, magnets or velcro placed on the front of the dolls’ bodies and the backs of their clothing helps the clothing to stick.
  • You can create a transparent look with your materials as well. For example, you can cut out the windows of a car and laminate for the effect of a real window.
      Important Tips:

The first and most important organ of language is the ears not the eyes!

Practice with this Audio as many times as you need. It’s better to practice for just 5 to 10 minutes daily rather than to practice sporadically for very long periods of time.
